“What is your climate dream?”

16 days, 9 federal states, countless conversations, new perspectives and a common mission: the Climate tour of Naturfreunde Austria Was much more than a trip – it was a strong sign of hope, cohesion and lived climate protection.

On July 11, eight young adults started in Bregenz with a question in their luggage: What is your climate dream? From there, they made their way across Austria on foot, by bike and by public transport – with one goal: to meet people, to get into conversation and to collect their dreams for a future worth living.

The experiences along the way were as diverse as the country itself. From climbing in halls and on rocks over paddling on the Danube, hiking through clams and to alpine peaks to leisurely conversations on the lake shore: it was discussed, laughed, questioned everywhere. In climbing halls, train stations, national parks and mountain huts, the participants spoke to travelers, hut owners, Forester, yoga teachers or simply hiking of all ages over their personal climate dreams. It was about much more than CO₂ figures-it was about values, responsibility and the future.

The fact that this trip was also challenging – physically and mentally – is obvious. Packed parts of the access, rainy weather, steep ascents and the courage to repeat strangers again and again, demanded a lot. But a feeling of community also grew out of it.

It is not least due to the excellent preparation and organization that this intensive tour could even succeed so smoothly. “Together with the state organizations as well as nature lovers, nature lovers Austria created a route and a supporting program that offered space for inspiration, encounter and real change,” said Alexander Mann project. “The entire team – from the young climate dreamers To the companions, speakers, hosts and supporters – has done great things. “

At the end the group reached Vienna on July 26, where they were solemnly received in the Naturfreunde climbing hall in Vienna and the team shared the most moving moments of the tour. At the subsequent festival in the Naturfreunde leisure center on the lower old Danube, one thing was mainly: celebrated …

For each collected climate dream, nature lovers Austria donate 1 euro to a climate protection project by Naturfreunde Internationale in Mali, which builds sustainable tree nurseries for more nutritional safety. Anyone who wants to get involved in climate protection can also donate a symbolic euro and thus express their support.

The climate dream was kindly supported by the company Scrocthe nature lovers St. Veit and the Climbing hall Vienna. Thank you for your support.
