Burgenland Energie informs that the state court of Eisenstadt was chosen for Burgenland Energie the next six cases brought in by the Vienna lawyer Zanger in which alleged reclaims were claimed due to excessive electricity prices.
Since the beginning of the 99 procedures initiated by Zanger, 93 cases have been decided by the court in the sense of Burgenland Energie, not a single in the sense of Zanger. The plaintiffs concerned were obliged to pay Burgenland Energie, and in total it is over 50,000 euros. In some of these breaks, lawyer Zanger was also even obliged by the court in the first instance to pay a payment payment to Burgenland Energie because he could not prove his authorization by the respective plaintiffs despite the court’s request.
“As a Burgenland Energie, the safe and reliable energy supply of our Burgenlanders is the top premise for us. In the energy crisis, we have also achieved this with great effort as one of the cheapest state energy suppliers. The result: we have reached the customer’s level, 9 out of 10 Burgenländer are customers of ours and our customer satisfaction. Leaving business practices from individual lawyers, as the recent decisions confirm.
Zwtl.: New electricity market law must be customer -friendly and end such business practices
“The current cases show how urgently a customer -friendly and legally secure reform of the Electricity Economic Act (ELWG) is. We have always spoken of ‘dubious business practices’ in connection with lawyer Zanger. These business practices, in which customers – mostly through incomplete information – are aroused false hopes, and in the end of which there are obviously only high costs for customers. Must ensure that the new current market law has to be used to do this in Austria.
