The summer holidays are in full swing – and with them the question of what you can do with the children. The answer is as diverse and close to nature: In the almost 100 “nature in the garden” show gardens across Lower Austria, a varied holiday program awaits children and adults alike.
Governor Mikl-Leitner: “Our ‘nature in the garden’ show gardens throughout Lower Austria invite young and old to experience nature with all their senses and to learn how important the careful dealings with our environment is. This means that family trips become experience, movement, nature, playful learning and environmental awareness.”
Whether research, creative course or garden aafari – the individual show gardens offer creative programs for children and families that are fun and at the same time strengthen awareness of nature. Many program items are free of charge or included in the entry.
A trip to the show gardens is not only worthwhile for children: the lovingly designed gardens show diverse, ecological design options and provide practical inspiration for your own garden at home – in the sense of “nature in the garden” philosophy.

Tip: Many show gardens also offer shady picnic areas, regional delicacies or play areas – this is how the family outing becomes a short vacation in the middle of nature.
The “nature in the garden” show gardens also offer a diverse program for adults: Numerous events as part of the “Gartensommer Lower Austria” offer nature, culture, relaxation, enjoyment and culinary deliberation. In addition, the “garden summer nights” invite you to unique experiences in the evening show gardens.
