UBQ Materials unveils its diverse product portfolio and expands its range of globally patented waste-to-materials technologies

UBQ Materials, developer of climate technology and advanced materials from waste, today unveiled its portfolio of sustainable products. The new, comprehensive product portfolio includes sustainable, bio-based materials. These include three bio-based replacement materials as well as sustainable additives and two modifiers. Each product range has its own complementary characteristics and has been developed with specific sustainability goals in mind, including waste separation, circularity, post-use recycling and greenhouse gas removal and avoidance.

The new replacement materials and additives are based exclusively on UBQ Materials’ globally patented waste-to-materials approach and overcome typical performance challenges that often arise when integrating sustainable materials. The product lines are divided into sustainable additives (10% to 30% of UBQ-based material) and replacement materials (25% and more of UBQ-based material). This allows compounders and manufacturers to determine the right dosage to find the right balance between consistent performance and sustainability benefits.

The product portfolio includes three bio-based, sustainable additives and replacement materials for a wide range of sustainability requirements such as circularity, recyclability, reduction of the CO2 footprint and positive climate impact:

UBQ ClimaPos™: A bio-based, climate-positive and sustainable additive for the removal and avoidance of greenhouse gases that supports companies in (over)fulfilling their ambitious climate goals. It can be used, for example, in plant containers, animal and transport boxes and window profiles. With just 5% ClimaPos™, climate neutrality can be achieved for the product.

UBQ Q-Series: With the proven standard replacement material UBQ™, the Q series enables 1-to-1 replacement of the material. It is suitable for most polymers. It can be used in all industries, including automotive and mobility, construction, logistics and supply chain management. If the product properties allow this, it can be used as the sole material.

UBQ Industrial: A replacement material for high-quality, reliable and functional use, for example in transport pallets, bitumen roof panels or building infrastructure. UBQ Industrial is a cost-effective material for applications where function is more important than appearance.

The primary product can be combined or enhanced with additional modifiers to achieve desired properties, optimize product development and achieve greater safety in product manufacturing. Supportive formulations for additional benefits include:

UBQ Nclozur™: A sustainable, odor-reducing additive; ideal for indoor and outdoor use such as car interiors, consumer products, floor coverings, shoes or carpet backings.

UBQ Impact: A bio-based additive that is compatible with many polymers to meet specific performance requirements such as impact resistance. This enables climate-positive, circular use in coverings, office furniture and car exterior mirrors.

With just 5% UBQ replacement materials or additives, companies achieve more circularity and CO2 neutrality or even CO2 negative/climate positive results – whether in individual products or entire supply chains.
