In 2024, Angel Yeast’s initiatives to reduce CO2 emissions focused on the redesign of the energy structure by promoting the use of clean energies, with groundbreaking progress being made. This year, Angel Yeast reduced the CO2 emissions by 210,500 tons through these measures, among other things by using 129,673 megawatt hours of green electricity, which only contributed to a reduction in CO2 emissions by 72,200 tons. Through innovative practices, the company has converted fermentation residues into agricultural resources, adopted the concept of “transformation of waste into a treasure” and did pioneering work in “microbial protein” technology, which has fewer carbon emissions compared to conventional proteins. Angel Yeast’s commitment to an environmentally friendly production has been recognized: The company and its subsidiaries were awarded “Green Fabries” at the national level for their comprehensive environmental management.
