Eurogast Austria informs about strategic change in Kärntner Legro
As a 100 percent partner of the Carinthian Legro Food wholesale Society mbH, the mountain country milk decided in the course of a strategic realignment to sell the Carinthian Legro.
Subject to the consent of the Federal Competition Authority (BWB), Transgourmet Austria GmbH, an indirectly controlled company, is planning indirectly by the Coop Group (Basel/Switzerland), the acquisition of the customer stock and parts of the employees: inside of the Carinthner Legro. The corresponding registration for the exam was brought in at BWB on July 3, 2025.
“However, we regret this step, but respect the decision of the highland milk and thank the Carinthian Legro team for the over 45 years of collaboration,” explains Peter Krug, Managing Director of Eurogast Austria.
