While climate researchers report heat records, forest fires and extreme weather events, the EU plans to reduce its CO₂ emissions by 90 percent by 2040-an ambitious goal that triggers violent discussions. Many are wondering: How can emissions be reduced so quickly and so much? The EU Commission therefore now proposes that measures outside the EU may also be counted towards reducing emission.
“An absolutely real approach,” says Efuel Alliance Austria CEO Jürgen Roth, because “efficient climate protection must be thought globally.” And: “There must be no more technology bans. All technologies must be allowed to make their contribution to climate protection and the EU must finally open up to the emerging and developing countries”.
How should Efuel’s fossil energy suppress if they are significantly more expensive – governments have to take responsibility and ensure the necessary boost with funding and liability.
Electricoccotic fuels are No. 1 in the case of emission reduction
“Electrocracy or efuels are the most valuable alternative to oil products of all kinds today. They are technically feasible, globally produced and climate -neutral,” continues Jürgen Roth. “But the same legislator, which wants to fix 90% emission reduction by 2040, prevents these technologies from being rolled out to achieve the goal.”
Climate protection knows no national borders – solutions have to work globally
In a rational point of view, some facts help what the EU and Austria can do to brake climate change.
-
Every ton of emission works immediately, no matter where it is expelled. To shut down productions is not a good idea, because then we will get the products from a third country with a much higher CO2 backpack.
-
Therefore, the promise “If Austria lowers emissions, we have no extreme weather events” Plumper Populism.
-
Priority No. 1 must be the globalization of climate protection. This is best done by technologies that can be used around the globe. Electrocroofs are the best example of emissions in all countries in the world when they replace fossil fuels, ”argues the Efuel President.
-
It is the wrong way to harass the EU’s economy: Europe should be the locomotive of climate protection as an economic power. Therefore, the EU has correctly proclaimed the industrial deal as a successor to the bureaucratic Green Deal.
So far, politics has been split off electrical craft substances. On the one hand, they are challenged, but on the other hand, the delicate plant is not given a chance to quickly root and grow. “The technology of the EU is an inhibitory in the fight against global warming,” warns Jürgen Roth.
Myths are communicated like facts
“Too expensive”
Efuels should be the champagne of the energy transition: In the beginning the television, the car, the mobile phone or the photovoltaic system was also very expensive. But soon they became affordable for the mass of consumers. The same applies to innovative fuels: at the beginning they are more expensive, but the prices fall with mass production and competition.
“Too little”
Efuels are not yet available: as long as politics brakes, no mineral oil company buys billions of liters in advance to ten years. Without these purchases, however, no mass production can start. “We know enough investors who have projects in South America, South Africa, North Africa and some in Europe, but the EU’s own regulations are in the way,” emphasizes the Alliance boss.
“Too late”
Efuels would only be available on 2035: there is no too late and certainly not too early. But politics has all the levers of acceleration in their hands, with more ambition, results can be visible from 2030.
A technology is not enough, we need many
It is true that the EU was defeated by the mistake that the emissions could be reduced quickly with the switch to electric drives. This assumption is refuted today. Customers have good reasons to buy e-cars or not. Politicians have massively misjudged here. In Austria, every fifth newly bought car may be an electric car, but four fifths of the new wagons still drive with an internal combustion engine. The entire Austrian car stock is made up of 96% cars with an internal combustion engine and 4% Reinelectric vehicles.
Car stock can save CO2 with climate-neutral electrical crafts
“Anyone who means well with climate protection will take care of the 96% car. This is also a good calculation for the finance minister, because they would have to pay punishments in billions in billions to the EU if Austria does not reach his climate target,” Jürgen Roth clarifies. Ambitious odds for RFNBO in Red III implementation could accelerate the reduction in CO2 emission.
Many countries are waiting for the EU
Many emerging countries get valuable economic opportunities if the EU clears the way for electrical craft substances. These countries are waiting to become the EU’s energy and climate compartments. At the same time, you can also lower your own emissions. This is how climate protection goes!
