AC/DC Konzert Berlin-AC/DC in Berlin: Bumm-Zack!

Actually as with GZSZ: the same program for 50 years, but somehow it is soothing.

The little man is now 70 years old. And he still has to wear a school uniform. At least on stage. And at his advanced age he has to play for the audience, which is expected for his money, the sole entertainer and pubescent nonsense.

This is the fate of Angus Young, founding member and lead guitarist of the Australian rock combo AC/DC. But the man, who has been the formative charismatic figure of this band since the 1970s, has shared this. Whereby: he apparently likes to do that. The Rumpelstilzchenig, which he always had, has remained, even if the rhythmic advance and back of the upper body, with simultaneous headbanging, which he cultivated for decades, is now practiced a trace of slower and measured than before.

The viewer does not get rid of the impression that the guitar actually plays the man and not the man the guitar.

But who wants to blame him. The age does not pass to anyone without a trace. And yet the man is still permanently in motion, so that as a viewer you don’t get rid of the impression that the guitar actually plays the man and not the man the guitar. His mouth is mostly open and forms the letters »O« in different sizes analogously to music. His knees constantly tremble in front of and back in a recurring pattern, his feet continuously knock the pace. And the gestures that he does during Monday evening at the concert in the Berlin Olympic Stadium are the classic three gestures that are known from him.

The first is the hearing gesture. In doing so, he looks expectantly with your eyes torn and leads the inner surface of his right hand behind his ear, as if he wanted to say: Now you are on it, now your roar is coming. The second is the index finger gesture that he knows how to vary. He either shows with the index finger as if he moves autonomously without his intervention, as it were, as it were dreams of dreams into nowhere. Or, accompanied by a facial expressions that should probably express a request to concentrate, he lifts the index finger as if he wanted to say: “Now take care of it briefly, friends, now comes something important!” The third gesture is the devil hearing gesture. In doing so, he leads the outstretched index fingers to his forehead, who should say as much as: We let it crash today, friends, don’t we?

If, as on this evening, of course, with a gewing white hair and with an open mouth in the Duckwalk, he travels this for two reasons: Because as an undisturbed young man, he once invented this dance variant for himself and felt satisfactory as a diffuse. And because he knows that you have to give the audience what the audience wants. The audience wants to be qualitatively cleanly played down AC/DC bum skirt, free of ornament as possible, with the usual voluminous guitar riffs. And of course it gets it. A variety of music in which the brain can also take a good break and where you can also easily sing the chorus along with seven or eight beer in the pear.

The company, with which Angus Young has been working for almost exactly 45 years now, the singer Brian Johnson, who is wandering around with a wide -legged and rowing manner with his arms, acts as a sidekick. He is a wonderfully cute figure. In the best sense, he has a popular in himself with his notorious slide hat and his sleeveless Wams, with which he makes an advertisement for a motorcycle brand. One thing is certain: Nobody in the world can bale the fist and make the “thumb high” gesture and smile as well as it is as gained and confident. And he has a comparable work ethics like his long -time colleague. Diligence, discipline, reliability. Give everything for the rock’n’roll circus.

The events are shown on large screens on the left and right of the stage, on which Young and Johnson recognize, the two remaining traditional members and keen to move. The idea always runs immediately, which is also its undisputed quality. It is the AC/DC Revue that fans already know and who have the same individual stations: With “Hells Bells” the large plastic bell is lowered over the stage. In “Whole Lotta Rosie”, the caricature of an extremely lavish female beauty is shown on the large screens flanking the stage (a gigantic rubber doll was previously blown over the stage). At »Let’s be bee rock«, the inevitable confetti anone is ignited during Angus’ at least ten minutes of guitar solo. At “For Those about to Rock”, plastic cannons are opened on the right and left and on the stage, from which it slams precisely when the chorus sounds and escapes.

AC/DC has successfully turned into a brand over the course of 50 years. And satisfies an intimate desire for people, like cold beer and fried salted potato sticks do. The band also offers a reduced to the all -time elements on this evening but dynamic blues rock, the astonishing simplicity of which also makes up its enormous attraction. Never Change A Winning System. So it is also with the school uniform that Angus Young is wearing and which has actually no longer been a real school uniform as in 1974, when the 19-year-old AC/DC guitarist at the time, this outfit was looking for an image that suits him for the first time, but a stage costume specially made for today’s rock star, which is in average and design to a school uniform should remember. An artificial fantasy school uniform. Angus Young once said: “This is my thing. Why do people come to our concerts? It is the school suit. It works! ”Like the three strips on the products of a sporting goods group or the Red Santa Claus, with whom a lemonade group has been promoting for decades.

Where we are “functioning”: AC/DC seems to work like one of these medium-sized traditional companies, where the bosses are still responsible for the quality control, with the workers via you, where you are friendly on your shoulders and carefully wake up that not from any deperted marketing tolps on the tried and tested corporate course will be showered around, that everything remains the same and the success concept is not changed: Two to three striking guitar riffs, school uniforms, deviling croissants. One-two, bull -zag, one-two, boomzag. This is the rhythm where you have to be a AC/DC fan. It must not be changed, under no circumstances. Where else would we get.
