St. Pölten (OTS) – The regional culture in Lower Austria is young, creative and diverse. From the deepest Mostviertel to the outermost Waldviertel, from the Weinviertel to the Danube – in all corners of Lower Austria people work, paint, sing, play, research and bring cultural assets to life. The “Austrian Experience” from the ORF Lower Austria regional studio (design: Marietheres van Veen, camera: Franz Cee) tracked down this diversity and documented it using the example of exciting projects.
Young craftsmen show children old techniques in Radlbrunn in the Weinviertel. The 17-year-old songwriter Leni Zöttl from Haidershofen in the Mostviertel can show what she’s made of through her music school. At the acting academy in Großenzersdsorf, young talents learn what it means to be on the boards “that mean the world”.
Musical horizons are broadened in Mautern as part of the “jung und wüd” program series in a workshop with the Trio Hupsala and the Weinviertel young musicians Pfiffikus. Things are lively in a different way in the Waldviertel in Pürbach and in Eggern. There the paintbrush is waved and families discover their artistic creativity together. Children are also the focus of the Korneuburg City Museum. They learn about the history of their city using ancient cultural techniques such as geometry, and young people express their perspective on the city through the lens of their smartphones as photography.
To ensure that the offerings in the communities are consistent, fit and have space, those responsible for the communities go to workshops with young people to exchange ideas and search for precise regional cultural offerings.
The film from the ORF regional studio in Lower Austria shows that regional culture is the heartbeat of a community and an elixir of life that enlivens the country and its people and keeps them young.
