“At the last National Council meeting, we Greens brought an application for the development of a bonus-malus system to occupy older workers: inside the National Council, which was unfortunately rejected by the government parties. According to Finance Minister Markus Marterbauer, ÖGB and AK are now calling for a bonus-malus system,” welcomes Markus Koza, Labor and Social Affairs of the Greens Workers: Inner representatives. “The socially just raising of the effective retirement age only works if there are sufficient age -appropriate and healthy jobs for older workers: inside.”
The goal must be to keep or bring people into employment as long as possible. “And of course companies must also be responsible for offering appropriate jobs,” continued Koza. A bonus-malus system rewards companies that employ older people and demands a contribution from those who employ below average few older workers.
Koza concluded: “After a decision on the gradation of increasing the advanced age to the corridor pension for employees: Inside, the timely introduction of a bonus-malus system for companies is therefore only the logical and consistent step. The more quickly it is implemented. We stay tuned and will continue to add parliamentary initiatives.”
