Vienna becomes a meeting point for over 400 experts from medicine, IT and health policy from June 23 to 27 June 2025. At the IHE-Europe Connectathon Week, testing how well different digital health systems work together-regardless of the manufacturer. The aim is that data can be replaced smoothly, i.e. are interoperable.
The heart: the IHE-Europe Connectathon
The focus of the event week is the IHE Europe Connectathon, which has brought together providers from all over Europe since 2001. Manufacturers and organizations check the seamless integration of their systems based on the IHE profiles. The established IHE Gazelle test platform and the tools from IHE-Catalyst are used. The process is monitored by independent IHE monitors, which ensure lenses and quality-assured results. Companies whose products exist the tests receive an IHE seal as a sign of interoperability.
Europe Experience Days AM24. and June 25th
The Europe Experience Days offer a top -class lecture program over one and a half days. The focus is on artificial intelligence in healthcare and the implementation of the European Health Data Space (EHDS). Tickets for this event are still available.
Plugathon-Tracks
The plugathon tracks are aimed at innovation and development teams. In practice-oriented sessions, new ideas are tested and know-how are taught-a mix of further training and technical reality check with the focus on EHDS (European Health Data Space)
The Austrian Projectathon is new to the electronic health file (ELGA)
A special highlight: IHE-AUSTRIA is organizing the Austrian ELGA Projectathon for the first time as part of the Connectathon. The aim of the three-day event is the targeted examination of the interoperability of IT systems in the context of the ELGA image data. In the long term, a higher level of standardization and compatibility within public health telematics infrastructure (ÖGTI) should be achieved-supported by a joint test environment.
