NEOS Vienna: District work gets a breath of fresh air through organizational reform

Vienna (OTS) After almost a decade, it was time to break down old structures and meet the needs of party work. After an extensive organizational development process, the members of NEOS in Vienna have now elected 23 committed district spokespersons. They met today for the first time in Vienna for a joint meeting to further define the new structure and set clear areas of responsibility and goals, also with a view to the super election year of 2024.

For NEOS Vienna regional spokesman Christoph Wiederkehr, the restructuring of district work offers many advantages and he emphasizes: “The restructuring of our district work offers us an excellent opportunity to meet the needs of our city and our citizens even more efficiently. We are committed to promoting more active and citizen-oriented politics at the district level. I look forward to working with this highly motivated team and to making NEOS even stronger and more visible in the districts than ever before.”

“It’s just fun to exchange ideas with our 23 highly motivated district representatives,” says NEOS Vienna regional manager Jacqueline Löschel happily. “Our common goal is to achieve improvements and progress, and in doing so we must not have any concerns, not even those supposedly smaller ones, overlooked. Every district in Vienna has its own unique challenges and needs. Only if we know these exactly and respond to them can we achieve the best for our neighborhoods, districts and ultimately for the entire city.”

What is the district team?

The NEOS district team, which is directly elected by the members and includes district spokespersons and deputies, will make NEOS even more efficient and powerful in the districts. The size of the team depends on the respective district and ranges from 3 to 5 members.

The district club, consisting of the representatives in the district council elected in the Vienna election, will continue to exist. He is responsible for the implementation of district policy content. If the club chairman is not part of the district team, he/she will be co-opted into the district team for better networking.

The advantage of the new organization is an even more professional setup so that committed citizens can get involved in NEOS. Important topics and actions can be addressed quickly in the district in the future. In this way, NEOS generate more involvement, more events and higher visibility.
