Am July 16, 2025 the Fichtenensee turns high over Zell am Ziller into an atmospheric concert backdrop: from 7 p.m. R.E.T. Brass Band Under the musical direction of Prof. Andreas Lackner for a sound -powerful one Open-air experience. Admission is free with a valid ticket for mountain and descent.
The Fichten lake at 1,700 meters is already worth a excursion during the day: embedded in the Zillertal mountains, it invites visitors with a diving tower and boat rental for splashing and lingering. However, it only gets really atmospheric in the evening when the sun disappears behind the mountain peaks. Coupled with musical sounds, the 90-minute open-air promises a summer evening that you don’t forget so quickly.
World class sounds: The Ret Brass Band
The Ret Brass Band stands for energetic brass band sounds, modern arrangements and a rousing repertoire that ranges from classic brass to pop and radio elements to rocking numbers. The musicians know how to transport emotions and to inspire the audience from the first tone. This year’s program focuses on absolute brass band classics and, as a central work, the seven-sided suite “Hymn of the Highlands” by Philip Sparke. This impressive composition takes the audience with majestic melodies and powerful sound images in the vastness of Scotland, Ireland and England – a musical arc over the Highlands, played on the mountain, in the middle of Tyrol.
