The actual wages and salaries in the electrical and electronics industry increase retrospectively by 2.75 %on May 1, 2025. By moving in a lid of 115 euros, it has managed to achieve an average increase of 2.15 percent.
The KV wages and salaries increase by 3.00 %. For heavily affected companies, a recession clause has been agreed that enables the direct burden on companies to reduce the increase in the long term to 50 % of the increase in the actual increase. At the operational level, there is the possibility to dismiss the remaining 50 % in the form of a one -off payment for three years or in leisure time. Furthermore, an extension of the leisure option was agreed by 5 years to improve flexibility in companies.
The negotiation results concern over 60,000 employees.
The collective agreement was concluded for one year.
Good solution for both sides
“The result is a good compromise for both sides with social accuracy and a look at the preservation of competitiveness, which is essential for the electrical and electronics industry, especially for exporting,” says Feei chairman Wolfgang Hesoun. Because in the EU comparison alone, Austria has the third highest costs on the work factor and is therefore no longer competitive. “Even strikes in the room, which would have meant an additional burden on the already strongly demanded companies, could also be prevented with today’s degree,” concluded Hesoun.
Changes in framework law
The result of the KV negotiations also affects changes in framework law. Apprentices receive an increase of 3.00 %. The mileage is increased to 50 cents (0.47 cents over 15,000 kilometers). The allowance for the second and third layer, like all allowances, increases by 3.00 %.
