The Film and Music Industry Association in the Austria Chamber of Commerce (WKÖ) congratulates JJ and his team on winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel. Alexander Dumreicher-JivanceanuChairman of the specialist association: “Austria is happy to be proud of its musical tradition. Rarely was it so great with that here and now connected to that of JJ, who has built the bridge between opera and pop as effortlessly. A beautiful sign of leading the great past into a modern modern age can hardly exist.”
For the specialist association of the film and music industry, the winning of the competition is confirmed by the positive development of the music location in recent years. For “Wasted Love” Michael Höchtl (Mix) and Mischa Janisch (Mastering) in the Vienna Sunshine Studios were responsible for the technical fine grinding of the song. The text and composition of the winning title also come from local feathers: Johannes Pietsch, Teodora Špirić and Thomas Thurner are responsible for this. Remarkable: Last year, parts of the successful Swiss production “The Code”, which won the Song Contest 2024, were designed in the Sunshine Studios of Nikodem Milewski (Mix & Mastering).
Following the tradition, the winning country will now align the next edition of the competition: “We are really looking forward to the honor and opportunity to show the world of Austrian pop culture and to focus on the headlight on the diverse music scenes and its environment,” emphasized, “emphasizes Alexander Dumreicher-Jivanceanu.
