Sea Cloud Cruises has enriched her autumn program with a pleasure. On five consecutive trips along the west coast of Italy, the Hamburg shipping company will focus on the culinary peculiarities of the most beautiful Italian provinces. On board and on land, guests of the Sea Cloud Spirit can get to know the kitchen of the respective region in a variety of ways. The highlight of the trips between September 8 and October 25, 2025 is a one -week guest performance by the star chefs Erik Arnecke (“Sonne Frankenberg”) and Boris Rommel (Le Cerf Schlosshotel Friedrichsruh) on the Sea Cloud Spirit.
With Sicily, Tuscany, Liguria, Campania, Sardinia, and Piedmont, Sea Cloud Spirit heads for the most attractive regions in Italy, which are characterized by their typical regional cuisine. For the autumn program, Sea Cloud Cruises has refined the recipe for success to offer guests exclusive impressions and experiences away from the mainstream of the mainstream. In addition to the shore excursions that lead to the art and culture of the respective region, each of the five trips is also particularly devoted to local cuisine. The focus is on olive oil, wine and pasta in all variations.
During the sailing trips around Sicily (September 8th – 15.09.2025), Sardinia and Corsica (September 15th – September 22nd) as well as along the Tuscan and Ligurian coasts (October 6th – 13.10.) If you want, you can learn in selected kitchens and cooking schools on land in small groups to cook the delicacies of the respective region themselves. On some trips, the Nils Lackner sommelier will also be part of the party and to share his profound knowledge of Italian and French wines with the guests.
The crowning glory of the travel quintet is the trip of the Sea Cloud Spirit from Nice to Naples (29.09. – 06.10.2025.), Which includes several highlights. With Erik Arnecke and Boris Rommel, Sea Cloud Cruises has hired two of the most prominent German star chefs, each of which will create a special dinner on board. Nils Lackner has prepared two exclusive wine tours in the Chianti area and the island of Elba. At the start of the trip, guests can expect a sporting event of an extra class. In front of the backdrop of the Côte d’Azur, guests can follow the first races of the legendary sailing regatta les voiles de Saint Tropez up close.
The Hamburg shipping company also sets a pleasure -oriented accent for Sea Cloud II in the autumn program 2025. For the trip from Genoa to Barcelona (October 17th – October 25th), Sea Cloud Cruises has developed an exclusive three -day preliminary program. Together with Nils Lackner, guests can pay homage to the beginning of the truffle period in Piedmont. Similar to the Sea Cloud Spirit’s travels, regional delicacies of southern France and Spain will shape the evening dinner map on board on the Sea Cloud II trip to Barcelona.
