Neos Vienna want to turn the flact tower into a new landmark

The flakturm VIII in the arenberg park is currently a gray concrete block in the middle of the 3rd district, a memorial of history, but also a largely unused space. Neos Vienna want to change that. With its vision of the “High Garden”, a new place for everyone is to be created from the bunker: green roof with a lookout brace, a café, consumption -free zones, a climbing wall as well as areas for art, culture and sport make the flact tower a lively meeting point in the district.

With the High Garden, Neos Vienna set a sign of urban quality of life and a city that does not displace its history, but further thinks. Vienna has six bunkers, only two of which are actively used – the house of the sea and the bunker in the collegiate barracks. The other four bunkers are more or less unused. Although they are memorials in history, they also make Vienna gray.
