“Remember” Prosperity “Film Purpose and Discussion
Vienna (OTS) –

On March 28, 2025, the Isset Institute (WU Vienna), together with the common good economy and partners, invites you to “rethink prosperity – democratic approaches for a sustainable economic policy”. In times of growing uncertainty and an increasingly polarized political landscape, the question arises as to what a sustainable and just economic policy can look like, which focuses on the prosperity of everyone, focuses on democratic principles and the planetary boundaries.

The occasion is the film Purpose via a “Wellbebeng Economy”, which documents the lobbying of Katherine Trebeck and Lorenzo Fioramonti. The two fighters for a holistic wealth measurement are committed to ensuring that economic policy is not primarily based on gross domestic product (GDP), but focuses on the well -being of people and sustainability.
Martin OettingThe director of the film is on site and will give an insight into the work of the Wellbebeng Economy Alliance. The Vienna cinema premiere in full length follows on April 6th at 1 p.m. in the Filmhaus Spittelberg.

The event is devoted to the question of how a participatory and democratic economic policy can be designed, which builds on a broad social basis.

The common good economy finally gives the economy a sensible goal with the participatory development of a common good product. The successor to GDP is a holistic welfare that relies on the power of the community and makes money a means for the actual purpose, According to Christian Felber, initiator of the common good economy.

Following the opening contributions, the participants are integrated into a participatory process, the results of which are further deepened by experts on the podium.

There are representatives from science and practice on the prominently occupied podium:
