The government also formally agreed on a break in the family reunification of refugees on Wednesday. “The political will is caught,” said Interior Minister Gerhard Karner (ÖVP) in the press foyer after the Council of Ministers. The legists of his department should now create a corresponding legal regulation. An integration barometer is also to be developed, which is intended to serve as the basis for the future quota of the follow -up. Family reunification is currently not so much a topic. According to Karner, only 60 corresponding applications came together in February. Outside the government, however, there was a hail of criticism of the project.
