Austria’s largest culinary event on record course-restaurant week 2025 attracts more and more connoisseurs: inside

More and more gourmets: The restaurant week cannot be missed: with over 130 participating top restaurants across Austria, the event grows year after year and attracts up to 20,000 guests from 17 to 23 March 2025. For the first time, all nine federal states take part – another milestone for Austria’s largest culinary event.

Three years ago, the restaurant week was primarily a Viennese event with around 80 participating restaurants. But now the event has also conquered the federal states: today there are almost 130 restaurants, including 50 outside of Vienna. With this expansion, interest is also growing – new records are set up year after year.

A culinary experience for all of Austria

For the 30th anniversary of the restaurant week, the focus is on the experience for the guests. From March 17 to March 23, the restaurant week again offers the opportunity to discover top Austrian catering at fixed prices. A 2-course midday lunch is to be enjoyed, for example, from 19.50 euros, a 3-course dinner from 39.50 euros. Especially in times of continuing inflation, the restaurant week sets a strong sign of affordable luxury and the support of the domestic gastro scene.

“After many years of success, it is great to see that all of Austria is now there. Each federal state has outstanding restaurants and talented cooks and cooks who earn a platform. Our anniversary underlines the ongoing enthusiasm, and we are pleased that the event is growing and the enjoyment is becoming increasingly important, ”says organizer and managing director Franz Bernthaler.

It is worth it quickly: Reservations from March 03, 2025

From March 03, the official reservation start begins, which enables the connoisseur: inside to secure one of the coveted places. The table reservation takes place via www.dierestaurantwoche.at. From Austrian classics to fusion kitchen to exotic specialties, there is something for every taste. Particularly gratifying: Almost every third restaurant offers a vegetarian menu and shows that meatless culinary delights have long since reached the upper gastronomy.

Haube kitchen for the highest demands

The numerous participation of various hood restaurants is just as gratifying. Also included in the 30th anniversary of two 4-hood restaurants (including the Mörwald) five 3-hood restaurants (such as the & Flora) 24 2-hood restaurants and 26 1-hood restaurants-a total of almost 60 hoods offer the highest culinary quality.
