Government implements many Praevenire claims

Vienna (OTS) –

The health agenda of the new federal government published yesterday contains numerous measures, the central demands of the non -profit association Praevenire – Society for optimizing solidarity health care pick up. A comprehensive analysis shows that 28 out of 34 of the 2023/2024 yearbook in Praevenire formulated proposals have found the entrance to the government program. This underlines the importance of a fact -based and solution -oriented dialogue between science, practice and politics.

The Praevenire association is an independent platform that is dedicated to promoting the health of people in Austria. The association is involved in the areas of health competence, prevention, early detection of diseases and in the optimization of intra- and extramural care, rehabilitation and reintegration. The aim is to create the health system for the future through Good Practice examples and the cooperation with national and international experts.

Praevenire President Dr. Hans Jörg Schelling welcomes the admission of many claims to the government program and emphasizes: “We are extremely pleased that so many of our many years of claims are taken into account. The government sets important impulses, especially in the area of digital health, prevention and patient -centered care. However, the financing from a single source remains a future task, which we will continue to claim. Nevertheless, there are still unresolved problems for a sustainable and comprehensive reform such as the reorganization of financial flows and the questions of competence between the federal government, the federal states and social insurance. ”

The following planned measures are particularly noteworthy:

  1. Digital Health: Introduction of a sustainable patient-summary in ELGA, expansion of the electronic health file and strengthening the European health data area (EHDS).
  2. Patient care: Measures to shorten waiting times, quality improvement in the supply and strengthening of primary care.
  3. Prevention: Further development of the parent-child pass, strengthening health literacy and an increased focus on preventive examinations.

This progress is proof that the Praevenire dialogue between experts, politics and practice bears fruit.

These successes would not have been possible without the numerous committed supporters as well as over 1,000 experts who participated in the Praevenire initiatives. Your expertise and ideas have contributed to developing sustainable solutions for a modern and efficient health system.

Special thanks also go to the Federal Government, which has taken up the expertise of Praevenire and integrated central demands into their program. This shows that constructive dialogue between science, practice and politics can cause positive changes.

Praevenire will continue to accompany this path and work with full strength for future -proof, innovative and patient -oriented health care in Austria.
