The ski jumper around Olympic champion Andreas Wellinger, on the other hand, delivered historically weak results. A podium for the German men would be a real surprise at this World Cup in the shadow of the big favorites from Austria around the overall World Cup leader Daniel Tschofenig, from Norway’s potted winner Daniel Forfang or the recovered Japanese Ryoyu Kobayashi.
In the Nordic combination, both men and the women of the DSV start with great ambitions. The Norwegian dominance with the exceptional athletes Jarl Magnus Riiber and Ida Marie Hagen has ended this winter. In the season, however, a medal is considered a duty. For men, almost everything revolves around Norway’s exceptional runner Johannes Kläbo. It will be interesting whether the way from Friedrich Moch pays off: Germany’s best has prepared for the World Cup with four weeks of training without competition.

The world champions Leonie Walter and Anja Wicker and Sebastian Marburger are part of the favorite group in their starting classes.
