An attentive animal lover in Braunau had spoken to a man with a very thin, hinding shepherd full of skin eczema and hardly any fur that he urgently needs to be a veterinarian. However, he only replied that she should leave him alone. She followed him to the car and photographed the dog and the license plate.
The animal welfare authority alarmed by the Pfotenhilfe association then made requirements for the urgent medical treatment of the shepherd dog called Enzo. However, despite pain, the holder continued to let the male down. He was therefore officially asked to immediately hand over the seven -year -old shepherds to the Tierschutzhof Pfotenhilfe. After a short resistance, Enzo could then be taken over on site under official supervision.
Pfotenhilfe chief Johanna Stadler had tears in his eyes when Enzo arrived: “In addition to the massive fur loss, he was already emaciated and weakened. His heavily inflamed skin itched so much that he was constantly scratching. had to help him urgently. ” The veterinarian found that it is the painful, inflammatory skin disease demodicosis caused by mites.
Enzo has to be treated regularly with mites and special shampoo was washed. With an energy -rich feed, the zookeepers try to slowly increase their weight. Due to breeding, the German Shepherd suffers from strong osteoarthritis and is constantly treated. “Enzo’s fur is already sprouting again and it looks much better. But it is incomprehensible to me how to make a family member suffered in this way for a long time. And I don’t understand why nobody has shown that earlier!” .
