Government formation could very soon. For the first time after 1945, a party in Austria would provide the head of government, who explicitly wants to build an illiberal society analogously to Orban in Hungary. As a first step, Orban destroyed the critical media at the time and joined the leader’s voice. Civil society was destroyed with fake news from the regime -loving media and its own laws such as Putin in Russia. And the judiciary was deprived of the ability to pay attention to compliance with exactly the human rights that 2 FPÖ MPs, and probably the entire party, especially Kickl himself, would like to delete from the constitution. That makes the worst fear for the next 5 years. Also and especially for animal welfare.
