KV negotiations BUSLENKER: Inside to third round, further unsuccessful

Today, Wednesday evening, the collective agreement negotiations for the approximately 12,000 employees at private bus companies in the third round were interrupted without success. The sticking point was still a noticeable relief required by the Vida union in the working conditions for the handlebars: inside. “The employers have given up their blockade and negotiated with us about improving working conditions. Offered minimal improvements in some points are compared to deterioration required by employers in other areas. This means that the employees: Inside, the relief would have to finance themselves as much as possible, ”said Anil Zümrüt, head of the VIDA KV negotiation team. For example, relief for shared services and breaks would have been linked to loss of income, explains the VIDA trade unionist. With regard to compensation for rolling inflation, one is no longer far apart: the VIDA demands 3.7 percent, the offer of employers is currently 3.5 percent, which corresponds to the rolling inflation on which negotiations are based.

“Of course we are available for further constructive negotiations at any time. For exchange transactions on the back of the employees: But we are not available inside. As early as Austria, employees will be informed throughout Austria up to and including February 5 in company meetings about our claims and the offer of employers, ”says Markus Petritsch, chairman of the VIDA field. According to the company meetings, it is also requested to what extent the workforce is willing to carry any necessary industrial action in order to obtain a better offer from employers. “Nobody should be prevented from attempting intimidation of visiting the meetings: Participation is covered by labor law,” the VIDA trade unionist and notes that cases have already been reported from individual companies.

“Depending on the participant: the interior of the meetings cannot be excluded,” Petritsch may not be excluded for understanding. The employers informed us on time. We therefore assume that the companies have also informed the passengers accordingly that there could be restrictions, ”says Petritsch.

“In any case, we won’t be able to get any noticeable relief from the handlebars: in any case. To do this, the working conditions and allowances must be improved in order to get more staff in the future so that overtime can be reduced, ”confirms Petritsch.

Bus drivers receive back strengthening: Inside and the VIDA during the KV negotiations, also through the broad alliance “We-Fahrengemeimmer”, which last week in Vienna and in the land main cities for better working conditions of the regular bus drivers: inside in front of the Chamber of Commerce Austria (WKÖ) held in Vienna and in front of the WKÖ country centers.
