Frost formation on Lower Austria’s roads

The road surfaces in Lower Austria are predominantly salt-wet this Thursday. In the Dobersberg area, Geras, Laa an der Thaya, Zistersdorf, Mistelbach, Hollabrunn, Allensteig, Lagenlois, Korneuburg, Wolkersdorf, Waidhofen an der Ybbs, Waidhofen an der Thaya, Groß Gerungs, Ottenschlag, Blindenmarkt, Gföhl, Kirchberg, Gaming, Mödling, Frost formation must be expected in Tulln and Groß Enzersdorf. There are scattered snow roads in the Zwettl, Krems, Groß Gerungs and Mank area and at higher altitudes. The necessary clearing and spreading operations are underway everywhere.

Today there is patchy ground fog with visibility between 30 and 70 meters in the Eggenburg, Mistelbach, Geras, Aspang, Mank, Melk, St. Pölten, Amstetten, Blindenmarkt, St. Peter in der Au, Scheibbs, Waidhofen an der Ybbs, Gföhl areas , Krems, Langenlois, Ottenschlag, Ravelsbach, Pöggstall, Allentsteig, Raabs on the Thaya, Waidhofen on the Thaya, Retz and Zwettl. The temperatures ranged from -9 degrees in Groß Gerungs to +1 degrees in Atzenbrugg this morning.
