Wiener Wohnen, the largest municipal property management company in Europe, is launching a major recruiting campaign to inspire the next generation of talent for municipal building. The multimedia campaign highlights Wiener Wohnen as an attractive and future-oriented employer that manages a rich heritage and carries it passionately into the future.
Taking over the baton…
The campaign slogan “Are you the future of community building?” focuses on every employee building on the achievements of the past while at the same time paving the way to a sustainable future as a pioneer. This concept, which is reminiscent of the handing over of a baton, reflects the continuous contribution of Viennese community building, which has shaped Vienna for over 100 years, ensuring affordable housing and making it one of the most livable cities in the world.
The faces of the campaign are 100% authentic: Only real Wiener Wohnen employees act as role models for new colleagues with social and innovation skills. In the print subjects, they pose next to their AI-generated predecessors, who worked on revolutionary social housing in Vienna in the last century.
Old hymn, new lyrics
The heart of the campaign – it was developed in collaboration with the renowned advertising agency Springer & Jakoby – is the radio spot, which, as an emotional core element, gets to the heart of the message musically. The well-known hymn “The flower from the community building“ by Wolfgang Ambros was reinterpreted for this purpose. The campaign starts with the radio spot on January 17, 2025.
Jobs with social added value
„The campaign emphasizes that working at Wiener Wohnen is more than just a job: Here, employees actively shape the cityscape, shape social cohesion and contribute to Vienna’s climate neutrality. Our job is brilliant and social – and that’s what we want to convey with this campaign“, emphasizes Karin Ramser, Director of Wiener Wohnen.
Like many other companies, Wiener Wohnen is also facing the challenges of demographic change and is preparing for the retirement of the baby boomer generation. In addition, Wiener Wohnen has launched a huge new construction and renovation program with a volume of around one billion euros, which significantly increases the need for qualified workers. In addition, Wiener Wohnen would like to make a contribution to achieving climate goals by phasing out gas in municipal buildings. The range of job profiles sought is therefore wide and extends from architects and IT software developers to house carers and craftsmen from a wide range of professions to sustainability managers, administrative staff, electrical engineers and lawyers .
