Groundbreaking steps for modern employee advocacy

After the historic success in the AK election in April 2024, in which NEOS LiA moved into the Vienna Chamber of Labor with 5 chamber councilors, the next important step now follows: the first general meeting of. took place yesterday NEOS LiA – Liberal Employees took place at which the first board of directors was elected. The association creates the organizational framework to advance reforms and resolutely represent the interests of employees in a modern working world.

“It’s about real relief, more transparency and equal opportunities. We want an interest group that meets the requirements of a modern working world and courageously implements the necessary reforms,” emphasizes NEOS Vienna regional manager Philipp Kern.

The focus of NEOS LiA’s work is relieving the burden on employees, for example by reducing additional wage costs. Transparency and efficiency in the use of funds are just as central concerns as equal opportunities and fair conditions for all employees. Frugality is seen as a guiding principle to ensure lean and goal-oriented advocacy.

“Our task is to question the outdated structures of the chambers of labor and make them fit for the future. Together with our AK group, we will hold a meeting in the coming weeks to set the strategic course for the coming years,” explains Jacqueline Löschel, the newly elected chairwoman.

The new board, which will drive the reform agenda, was elected at the general meeting:
