Social insurance sets a milestone in the digitalization of the healthcare system. In the future, the smartphone can be used as an e-card reader with the “My SV” app. The insured person has the option of providing remote access to his doctor with e-authorization. This brings a lot of relief, for example for people in need of care, retirement homes and patients with long-term medication.
Present in a joint press conference Peter Lehnerco-chair of the Conference of Social Insurance Institutions, and Edgar WutscherVice President of the Austrian Medical Association, the new solution, its functions and provide concrete application examples.
