REELOQ presents innovative tool security

After the resounding success of the REELOQ smartphone lock, which is already used by over 100,000 mountain athletes in over 28 countries, the Graz-based company is expanding its product portfolio with a patented tool lock that enables safe and efficient work at heights.

4 years ago, the founding duo Julia & Lukas Watzinger presented their smartphone backup for the first time on the TV show “2 Minutes 2 Millions”. Construction tycoon Dr. Hans Peter Haselsteiner was convinced of the innovation: “This has to be sewn into every work overall!”

Since its launch, the REELOQ smartphone security has established itself as an indispensable tool in mountain sports and industry. It not only offers reliable protection against loss, but also allows you to store your smartphone within easy reach.

Development on customer request

The step to secure the tools was carried out at the customer’s request. Many smartphone security users also wanted a well-thought-out security system for tools. REELOQ responded to this feedback and used it to develop a new product. “Customer feedback is always at the center of product development”says Lukas Watzinger, Managing Director of REELOQ GmbH. In cooperation with the overhead line specialist Preising GmbH, a practical product was developed that meets the high requirements of the industry.

Whether on construction sites, during maintenance work or in the industrial climbing area – the system ensures that tools are securely fastened and yet remain easily and quickly accessible. The result: higher efficiency, fewer work interruptions and a significantly increased level of safety.

The young company on a growth path
