Christoph Wiederkehr was impressively confirmed as regional spokesman at the state members’ meeting of NEOS Vienna this Saturday. The Vienna Vice Mayor received 93.60% of the vote and will therefore be at the head of the Vienna NEOS for another three years.
“Wiederkehr thanked the members in an initial reaction: “I am pleased about the great support for our reform course, driving forward progress in Vienna with courage and confidence – and also in the face of constantly new and often unpredictable challenges such as the pandemic or the war to consistently continue on this path in Ukraine. We have made more progress in the field of education than ever before, and we continue to work on the school of the future every day – because the best education is one of our central concerns in order to enable all children to lead a self-determined life.
From Vienna to Austria to Europe, NEOS are the driving force for reform: “We achieved strong successes in the last elections: five mandates in the Vienna Chamber of Labor, 10.1% in the European elections and over 9% in the National Council elections. I am particularly proud of the result in Vienna: over 11% in the National Council election is a clear sign that people value a reform course and a positive vision for the future. In every district of Vienna we have shown that real change is possible with confidence and concrete ideas. We will take this tailwind with us into the coming challenges and will continue to maintain the will to reform until the Vienna elections in 2025 and beyond. Many thanks to everyone who has expressed their trust in me – together we will create a Vienna that moves forward courageously!” emphasizes Wiederkehr in conclusion.
