Already 330,000 guests – event so far without incident
Vienna (OTS) – The country’s biggest New Year celebrations began in the early afternoon. Since 2 p.m., the 32nd Vienna New Year’s Eve Trail has been celebrating the New Year with excitement and exuberance at a total of eight locations – seven of which are in Vienna’s city center and at the Riesenradplatz in the Prater. The Rathausplatz and Wintermarkt stages at Riesenradplatz in the Prater start their program later, at 10 p.m. and 8 p.m. respectively.
The restaurants in the city center had already opened at 11 a.m.
Almost 330,000 visitors in the first four hours
Almost 330,000 visitors were counted by 6 p.m. So far there have been no notable incidents.
The program of the 32nd Vienna New Year’s Eve Trail continues until 2 a.m.
The organizer asks all visitors to use public transport – especially the subway lines – to travel.
