The world has become very restless and various crisis issues such as Russia’s war of aggression on Ukraine, the Covid pandemic and Brexit raise the question: Is globalization reaching its limits?
Three scientists from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) examine this complex topic from different perspectives. Using current data and historical examples, they examine, among other things, the question of whether the idea of deglobalization is even effective:
- Prof. Dr. Claudia SteinwenderLMU professor of economics with a focus on innovation and foreign trade, analyzes data on global trade in goods and services.
- Prof. Dr. Eveline DürrLMU professor of anthropology, presents the efforts of different societies to reverse the effects of globalization.
- Prof. Dr. Roland WenzlhuemerLMU Professor of Modern and Contemporary History, addresses the question of whether reversing globalization is even possible.
