On November 5th, the University of Applied Arts will once again open its doors this year and is aimed at everyone who wants to get to know the courses offered by the Applied Arts or simply wants to take a look behind the scenes – into the studios, workshops and departments of the university . Over 2,000 students from almost 90 nations are currently studying at the University of Applied Arts Vienna.
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., students and teachers will provide a personal insight into everyday student life and the various workshops. These are an important part of teaching and research and can be visited from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
In addition to the open workshops, visitors can also take advantage of a comprehensive information program that takes place on site and online. There is the opportunity to exchange specific information about the fields of study. Other study-relevant institutions such as the University Gallery in Heiligenkreuzerhof, the Applied/Experimental Sound Research Lab in Rustenschacherallee and the AIL also open their doors to those interested.
The main locations around Oskar-Kokoschka-Platz as well as other branches in Vienna invite you to explore. Special program items such as tours of the central university buildings offer a detailed insight into the creative work and learning spaces of the applied students. The meeting point for the tours is the information point at Vordere Zollamtsstrasse 7, where students give an overview of the university every hour on the hour.
