Finding the right form of communication can be a challenge in times of social polarization and political uncertainty. That’s why this year’s motto is IDEALE Radical hope. Contrary to social divisions, IDEALE is a place where value-based communicators come together, learn from each other and look to the future with hope.
“For the fourth time, IDEALE is the place for communication professionals for whom value-based communication is more than just a buzzword. We are looking forward to a day with a diverse program and to learning from each other and being able to give new impulses for communicators,” says Stefanie Grubich, Managing Partner at P&B.
The aim of the conference is to look at communication challenges from different perspectives and to be a place of exchange and networking for everyone interested in value-based communication, campaigns and strategies. These are measures that are also affordable and feasible for NGOs, public institutions and political organizations.
The IDEAL program with data, content and music
The conference starts with the Changemakers Lab by ASQ Bar. In the master class that takes place at the same time, participants receive a deep dive on political communication from Stefanie Grubich (Managing Partner at P&B) and Lena Jäger (Communications Manager at BMGSPK).
One of the highlights is the keynote speech by German author Alice Hasters entitled “What must come before hope”. The panel discussion with Rudi Anschober, Ingrid Brodnig and Hannah Metzler is also eagerly awaited. Under the title “Radical Hope – how do we overcome polarization?” we discuss things together and think about solutions.
Breakout sessions focus on different communication tools. How can newsletters increase reach? How can music be used in campaigns? How does anti-racist communication work and how can data be used for communication?
Current study results on the concerns and hopes of Austrians
An integral part of IDEALE is the presentation of the results of the IDEALE barometer, in which the target group office, together with the NGO ZARA, surveys the mood of the Austrian population. The focus of the survey was on the hopes and concerns of the population; the specific figures and results will be presented at the conference and will be sent to you upon request.
A successful concept for four years now
The IDEALE has been organized by P&B Agentur für Kommunikation GmbH since 2021. Every year the agency brings a different NGO on board as a cooperation partner in order to design the ideal program together. Amnesty International (2021), Global 2000 (2022) and neunerhaus (2023) are followed this year by ZARA, which promotes civil courage and anti-racism.

IDEALE24 – the communications conference for everyone who has nothing to sell
IDEALE – this is the first conference in Austria that focuses on values-based communication, campaigns and strategy. There are many congresses in Austria that deal with challenges, developments and know-how in the PR sector. However, access is mostly marketing-oriented. What is missing is an examination of value-based communication in an exchange across institutions and organizations. IDEAL closes this gap: It’s not about unaffordable tools or expensive advertising miracles, but about measures and strategies that are also affordable and implementable for NGOs, public institutions and political organizations. After three successful years, IDEALE is entering its fourth round: IDEALE24 will take place on October 24, 2024 at the reactor in Vienna. Tickets are available now.
