Allianz Austria wins inclusion award at Austria’s Leading Companies Awards

Vienna (OTS) –

  • The award recognizes the company’s internal network “Allianz Beyond”, which specifically develops and promotes measures to improve the inclusion of people with disabilities.
  • The ALC (Austria’s Leading Companies) Inclusion Prize is awarded by Die Presse, PwC and KSV1870 together with the Essl Foundation’s Zero Project.

The Inclusion Prize honors companies that stand out through special initiatives to employ people with disabilities. With a share of 4.8% of the approximately 1,700 employees, people with disabilities (PwD) contribute significantly to the success of Allianz Austria. The company takes a strategic approach to promote inclusion and create a work environment that promotes diversity and the individual strengths and perspectives of all employees. The inclusion award is a great success for the exemplary efforts of Allianz Austria, especially for its employee network “Allianz Beyond”, which, as part of Allianz’s “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” (DEI) commitment, promotes the interests of Makes MmB more visible and encourages all employees to actively contribute to promoting inclusion. As part of the network, people with disabilities continuously develop approaches to optimize accessibility in the company in close collaboration with management and committed employees.

For 26 years, the daily newspaper “Die Presse”, together with PwC Austria and KSV1870, has been honoring the best companies in Austria in “Austria’s Leading Companies” (ALC). The ALC Inclusion Prize is also awarded in collaboration with the Essl Foundation’s Zero Project. The winners are evaluated according to criteria such as integration of MwB in the primary labor market, sustainability and role model effect. The award ceremony took place this year on October 15th in Casino Baden.

“People with disabilities are an important part of our team and enrich our company with their perspectives and skills. “We are very honored to be awarded the ALC Inclusion Prize and motivate us to continue on our path,” says Rémi Vrignaud, CEO of Allianz Austria.

“It is inspiring to see how companies like Allianz Austria become real role models in inclusion. “Their commitment to accessibility and the support of people with disabilities shows what is possible when innovation and social responsibility go hand in hand,” explains Martin Esslfounder of the Essl Foundation, the jury’s decision.

A role model for further improvements in inclusion

In addition to the “Allianz Beyond” network, Allianz Austria is pursuing a variety of other measures to continuously promote an inclusive, diverse culture. Among other things, by sponsoring the Paralympics, the company emphasizes the remarkable achievements that people with disabilities achieve. Internally, managers are regularly trained on inclusion issues, and we work closely with specialized service organizations in the areas of recruiting and onboarding.

The awarding of the Inclusion Prize not only recognizes these efforts, but also serves as an incentive to continue to work actively to promote inclusion, to set an example and to inspire positive developments in other companies in Austria.
