PÜSPÖK, a leader in the field of green electricity generation through wind and solar power, is actively committed to social responsibility in addition to its main business area and supports social and charitable projects. An important partnership is the one with Diakonie Österreich, within which PÜSPÖK offers its employees corporate volunteering at the social inn s’Häferl. After the successful launch in autumn 2023, PÜSPÖK is continuing this partnership this year. In October, PÜSPÖK employees once again supported the s’Häferl team on several days in the kitchen, with food distribution and in service in order to be able to offer warm meals to people in need. PÜSPÖK managing director Lukas Püspök also didn’t miss it and actively supported the team for a day.
Positive effects on team spirit and society
“It is very important to us not only to make a contribution to sustainable electricity generation as a company, but also to assume social responsibility. With their work at Gasthaus s’Häferl, our employees show how important it is to all of us to be together and to support those who need help.”
underlines Lukas Püspök, Managing Director of PÜSPÖKthe importance of the PÜSPÖK team’s shared social commitment.
The Gasthaus s’Häferl offers up to 400 people in need a warm meal every day in a welcoming atmosphere. Tobias Rienernewer since September 2024 Manager of the Gasthaus s’Häferl Diakonie Austria, emphasizes the importance of charitable and social partnerships: “PÜSPÖK’s commitment is an example of how social responsibility can be actively practiced by companies and their employees. A nice role model for other companies. Thanks to PÜSPÖK for their renewed commitment and support for our team.”
Also Paul Frauendorfer, Diakonie – corporate cooperation and philanthropyemphasizes: “Diakonie Austria is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. Without partners like PÜSPÖK, many social and charitable institutions, initiatives and projects would not exist. We really appreciate the cooperation with PÜSPÖK. It shows that companies, together with their employees, play an important role in society and can make a positive contribution through such initiatives.”
The positive response to the first missions at s’Häferl encouraged PÜSPÖK to continue this cooperation. “We see social commitment as an important part of our corporate values and are proud, especially in Diakonie’s anniversary year, to be able to provide a little support to the many great volunteers and full-time employees.”
