The Kunsthalle Wien presents the first solo exhibition of Diego Marcon (born 1985, Busto Arsizio) in Austria. The exhibition transforms the ground floor of the Kunsthalle in the MuseumsQuartier into a tailor-made theater for the presentation of his new film The Gorge (2024). Marcon’s work draws on a variety of cinematic vocabulary from genres such as musicals, melodrama, horror and slapstick comedy. His eerie, unique imagery uses various technical means such as puppetry, robotics, prosthetics and CGI. This is supported by the script and compositions that use language and sound.
