#YourMyOurAustria: Call for local celebrities to vote

Almost three weeks before the National Council election, a number of personalities are calling for people to go vote on September 29th under the motto #YourMyOurAustria. With video messages in the form of personal calls, they address all eligible voters who are concerned about peaceful coexistence, social justice, climate and nature protection and a democratic society. Personal calls for democratic participation have already come from Rainhard Fendrich, Adele Neuhauser, Conchita Wurst and Lilian Klebow as well as from Valerie Huber, Robert Palfrader, Pizzera & Jaus, Florian Scheuba, Resi Reiner and Rafael “Veni” Eisler.

Musician Rainhard Fendrich says in his video message: “Anyone who closes their eyes now and leaves thinking and acting to others will, when they open them again, perhaps find themselves in a world that is no longer as worth living in as they would have liked. So: take your future into your own hands and go vote!”

Actress Adele Neuhauser emphasizes in her appeal: “We can use our voice to set the right direction, the direction of hope. For a healthy environment, for a healthy basis of life, for a solidarity-based, democratic and open Austria. For your, my, our Austria. So don’t forget: go vote!”

Singer Tom Neuwirth alias Conchita Wurst appeals: “There is a lot at stake: our democracy, human dignity and, for many of us, our freedom. So please go vote. Personally, I would thank you very much!”

Actress Lilian Klebow says: “It is important that we vote this time for our children, for their future. For the climate goals that need to be achieved, for solidarity, for democracy. So please go vote – for your, my, our Austria!”

All voices for co-determination and democracy in full can be found here www.deinmeinunserösterreich.at as well as on the social media channels Facebook and Instagram @deinmeinunseroesterreich.

Further calls will follow in the next few weeks. Private individuals are also invited to start their own election call via social media. By joining forces, as many people as possible should be motivated to go to the polls and vote for a livable and just future.
