Once again, international leaders from business, industry and society gathered at the event resort Scalaria on Lake Wolfgang for the “Aerospace Oscars” award ceremony Living Legends of Aviation Europe-Awards to celebrate. A total of 11 winners out of Aviation, aerospace and business honored with awards and inducted into the Hall of Fame as Living Legends of Aviation. Williams Technology Award was awarded, as well Dieter Morszeck, founder of Rimowa and owner of WACO Aircraftwho the Eren Ozmen Entrepreneur of the Year Award accepted. The Aviation Industry Leader Award ging an Gilles Labbé, one of the leading suppliers in the international jet industry. It was a special honor Airbus-CEO Guillaume Faury allotted, who as Lifetime Aviation Industry Leader was awarded. Steve Varsano von The Jet Business received the Kenn Ricci Lifetime Aviation Entrepreneur Award.
Tales of Peterwho was a pioneer of Red Bull Air Race is known, Ben Chin, owner of Diamond Aircraft, Elie Zelouf von Jet Aviation and Ivo Boscarol von Pipistrel were inducted into the Hall of Fame and are now allowed to „Living Legends of Aviation“ to name. For this outstanding performance he received the Bob Hoover Freedom of Flight Award. The audience could see his great passion for flying on Saturday at the Red-Carpet Opening Show experience above Lake Wolfgangsee. There he also showed an impressive flight demonstration together with a P-51D Mustang der Flying Bullsthe award’s namesake’s most famous aircraft Bob Hoover. Also featured were Living Legend Felix Baumgartner in der Flying Bulls BO 105, Red Bull Blanix and two Eurofighters of the Austrian Armed Forceswho made their last appearance before AirPower next weekend in Zeltweg.

In the newly launched Science Lounge International experts from science and business discussed and presented the latest Developments and challenges in the areas of hydrogen and alternative drives. “Learnings” and “spin-offs” were also created from the „Mission to Mars“ discussed for other industries. Sam Patel, a senior SpaceX launch engineerwas switched on live and Explorers Club New York, represented by Shane Lundgrenwas there to see the Science Lounge to support. This format emphasizes the scalaria and Living Legends Awards’ commitment to sustainable innovation and shared responsibility for the future. Included are strong partners like KTM Technologies, FACC, the Airbus Group, the Augsburg Rocket Factory, the hydrogen aircraft manufacturer Apus Aero and BMW AG with its hydrogen department.
