FPÖ – Schnedlitz: Another ÖVP PR production around the Environment Minister at the expense of the Austrians | Freedom Parliamentary Club
Vienna (OTS) –

“Every farmer knows that the ÖVP betrayed and sold him. Even the new PR production can’t change anything. The fact is, positions for incumbent ÖVP ministers such as a position as EU Commissioner or a position as head of the National Bank were more important to Nehammer and Co. than all Austrian farmers and food safety for consumers. The People’s Party could have removed the Austrian-hostile environment minister from office long ago in order to prevent even more damage. But Nehammer neither asked Federal President Van der Bellen for Gewessler’s dismissal, nor did the ÖVP agree to our motion of no confidence against her. The People’s Party is once again trying to deceive the Austrians into believing that it is doing something against them, but is letting them do even more damage with every passing day in the ministerial office,” said FPÖ General Secretary NAbg. Michael Schnedlitz on the reports that the ÖVP constitutional spokesman suggested that the Green Environment Minister resign after answering a query about the EU renaturation regulation.

“In the media, the ÖVP accuses the minister of breaking the law, describes her as a ‘public threat’, reports her for abuse of office and suggests that she resign. But in reality, she is failing to take any effective step to finally remove her from office. All just to make bad exchanges at the expense of the citizens. Until the last day, posts are being ‘bargained’ to each other and completely fact-free and purely ideology-driven decisions from the Council of Ministers are being exchanged. The ÖVP has betrayed and sold not only the farmers, but all Austrians,” said the Freedom Party, confirmed by the change of ÖVP Economics Minister Kocher, who is moving to the Austrian National Bank, and ÖVP Finance Minister Brunner, who is becoming EU Commissioner. Schnedlitz continued: “In return for postal fraud, the Greens received the EU renaturation regulation, the stop on Russian gas imports until 2027, which will drive record inflation even higher, and the National Climate Plan, which already foreshadows bad things to come. The ÖVP has long since ceased to be an accomplice, but has long since revealed itself to be an accomplice and thus guilty.”

“It is the actions that are measured and not the PR shows. And instead of waiting for a few more weeks and letting the voters decide who should bring this country forward again in the future, the ÖVP and the Greens are quickly putting everything that is still possible into the ‘dry’. “It is therefore clear: only one vote for the FPÖ and Herbert Kickl will guarantee politics for our farmers again and thus for the preservation of our food security and sovereignty,” concluded Schnedlitz.
