MA 35 moves into alternative quarters at Schrödingerplatz for 80 employees | City of Vienna
Vienna (OTS) –

An interim use concept was created for the empty office building in the 22nd district: 80 employees of the City of Vienna – Immigration and Citizenship (MA 35) will temporarily move to the building at Schrödingerplatz 1 in September.

The addition of 105 new employees exceeds the department’s space capacity. In the immediate vicinity of the existing headquarters in Brigittenau, new premises are to be rented in cooperation with the municipal department for construction and building management (MA34).

Until then, a quick interim solution had to be found: “The new admissions of additional citizenship employees who need a job to start school will begin in September. I am pleased that various departments of the City of Vienna have worked together to find a solution. The use of empty buildings saves resources,” so Christoph Wiederkehr, Vice Mayor and City Councilor for Education, Youth, Integration and Transparency .

The existing citizenship team assistants will be moving because they have no direct customer contact. “Broad-based customer information about changed addresses and accessibility for a period of 6 months did not seem sustainable to us”so Department head Georg Hufgard-Leitner. The vacant space will be filled with new employees and their students.
