In Röschitz in the Horn district, the carriageway of the L 50 state road and the adjacent areas in the area of the chapel, the fire station and the sports field were renovated or redesigned. In the course of this work, the acute-angled junction of the L 1197 state road and the L 50 state road was converted into a right-angled T-junction, thus significantly improving visibility. To the east of the state road L 50, a new sidewalk with a width of up to 1.65 meters was created over the entire length of 300 meters. The existing sidewalks and parking areas were renovated, a bus bay was converted and the drainage facilities were adapted to the new conditions.
The Eggenburg road maintenance department carried out the work together with construction and delivery companies from the region under total closure in a construction period of around three months. The total costs amount to around 510,000 euros, with around 310,000 euros going to the state of Lower Austria and 200,000 euros to the market town of Röschitz.
