Vienna (OTS) – The volunteer entertainment art historians of the “Circus and Clown Museum Vienna” (2nd, Ilgplatz 7) invite children aged 6 and over to an amusing tour of the extensive permanent exhibition on Tuesday, August 6th. The viewing of a variety of exhibits from the glittering world of the arena begins at 10 a.m. Accompanying adults are also welcome. Taking part in the approximately 80-minute tour and taking part in the clown-like magic show that follows are free of charge. Worth seeing: costumes and props, test of courage: board of nails, magical: “Emilius”
Advertising posters, leaflets, programs, paintings, engravings, photographs, costumes, props and other objects are reminiscent of important circus companies, directors, artists, clowns, magicians, animal teachers and other entertainers. During this “interactive” tour, brave children can even lie down on a fakir’s bed of nails. In addition to well-founded explanations, the little ones hear all sorts of anecdotes from the circus and variety show business. The incomparable magic master and masterful joker “Emilius” amazes and amuses youngsters with great tricks. The event is part of the successful leisure project “Leopoldstadt plays!” The “Circus and Clown Museum Vienna” is a member of the “Vienna District Museums Working Group”.
