With six singles from Vienna, Lower Austria and Styria
Vienna (OTS) – In the third episode of the cult show “Love Stories and Marriage Matters” on Monday, July 22nd, 2024, at 8:15 p.m. on ORF 2 and from 9:00 a.m. on ORF ON, Nina Horowitz accompanies six singles on their way to great happiness in love. This time three women and three men from Vienna, Lower Austria and Styria are looking for a partner. One of them is the 81-year-old Styrian Waltraud, who, in addition to visiting wine taverns and concerts together, also looks forward to romantic football evenings, because “when you can see the last rays of sunshine on the football field, that’s wonderful!” She wants to experience that again – “But for two!” The 44-year-old amateur basketball player Markus from Vienna is interested not only in sport but also in classical literature, which for him is an “escape from reality”. His wish is a future with a family – “preferably twins, because then you have a double pack and all the action!”

Evi, 61-year-old qualified pediatric nurse from Vienna, seeks happiness in “love stories and marriage matters” and is looking forward to the “letter from the right man”. The Viennese, who is jokingly described by her friends as the “Princess and the Pea,” loves luxury and is a “little chick” – “but a lovely one!” Evi, who grew up in modest circumstances, loves the beautiful ones things and enjoys “wearing nice shoes, designer dresses, designer handbags and jewelry” – and always with high heels, please! Be it on 12-centimeter heels or in hiking boots, the versatile Viennese always knows how to impress. Which prince can win Evi’s heart? “For me, a man doesn’t have to be really beautiful, it’s the charisma that counts. Of course it helps if he has beautiful eyes, dimples or a sweet smile.” Evi herself gives the best tips on how to win the heart of the single lady: “I still attach importance to it when the car door is opened for me, brings home flowers every now and then.”
Carlos, 63, a logistician from Vienna, has longing in his heart and is looking for true love. Carlos, whose real name is Karl, has admired Julio Iglesias since his youth. He regularly proves in Vienna’s karaoke clubs that he can not only keep up with the Spanish cuddly singer musically, but also has at least as much charm. Actually, only the hairstyle distinguishes the bald man from the Latino singer: “I suffered from it for a long time and tried how I felt with a toupee. It was stuck a little too high and I looked like a parrot. Now I stand by it.” The humorous hobby singer finds long hair “the most erotic thing on a woman”, but what is more important to him is that she is cosmopolitan, positive and “a bit sporty, so that she can carry me along.” Even if Carlos’ childhood dream comes true The idea of becoming a musician wasn’t fulfilling, the gentleman from Vienna knows how to inspire in a different way and says: “I’m a man of the old school. I like to hold the door open for the woman or help her with her coat. Even at home – cleaning, cooking, I can do it all! And if it gets too much, we’ll hire cleaning staff.” The practical bachelor wants to “visit new cities, see things, try specialties and experience beautiful moments together” with his new partner. Carlos is ready to “give his heart away” .
Christl, 66 years old, cleaner. R. from Styria, enters the dazzling world of love with Nina Horowitz. She likes glitter in every shape and color and “always has something sparkly with her”. Surrounded by sequins and sparkling all sorts of things, she describes her dream man with a laugh: “He can be younger, ten years old, at least I really know that he is fit. But I don’t want a muscle man. I need a man to lean on, he can have a belly. “He shouldn’t look better than me,” because you don’t have a beautiful man all to yourself, laughs Christl. The Styrian says she hasn’t experienced “great love yet”, but has a clear idea of what it should be like: “He has to show me that he likes me. When we go for a walk, I want to walk hand in hand.” A man conquers her heart when he can not only dance, but also knows how to spoil the dashing single lady: “When I come home and he has prepared a glass of champagne or rose petals – that would be great, I’ve never experienced that before.” Between the fizz and the shimmer, Christl is looking forward to love, and not just any love, but the really big one.
Franz, 59-year-old salesman from Lower Austria, describes himself as an optimist with a “longing for the woman who really suits me.” The Mostviertler lives in an idyllic location, in the middle of nature, and looks forward to hikes together and romantic times in the countryside. He wants a partner between 40 and around 60 because “I feel very young and am still bursting with energy!” But the main thing is that she is “open, punctual, doesn’t make a face like three days of rainy weather” and loves order because “I I’m a Cancer and he likes to have a nice home.” Franz imagines life with his true love to be more romantic, tender and harmonious than his previous everyday life, even if it is anything but boring. Surrounded by forests and meadows, there is always something new to discover. Franz certainly doesn’t miss out on enjoyment either. He is looking forward to “cooking and baking together. Because the way to your heart is through your stomach!”
Waltraud, 81, a saleswoman from Styria, doesn’t spend long on small talk. “When you go out to eat together, sitting at a beautifully set table with candlelight, flowers or very quiet music, that is eroticism for me. There are so many ways to be erotic and that’s part of life.” Her great passion, football, is also indispensable for her! With Nina Horowitz she remembers her most beautiful experiences in the stadium and talks about how much football and romance can be in one match:
“In the evening, when the sun has set and you can still see the last rays of sunshine on the football field, that’s beautiful! I want to experience that again! But for two!” In addition to romantic football evenings, Waltraud’s new partner can also look forward to relaxed and fun visits to wine taverns and concerts. The Styrian cheerful nature can laugh at itself and loves to dress up funny during carnival: “Sometimes I’m a cat, sometimes I’m a bunny, sometimes I’m a mouse, always something funny. It has to be once a year.” But if a gentleman wants to move in, Waltraud gives him a red card because: “I don’t want to live together anymore. Everyone has their own characteristics and we should both stay as we are. But spending some quality time together would be wonderful!”
Markus, 44 years old, warehouse clerk from Vienna, opens his heart to the right person and is looking for a humorous, honest and adventurous woman. “Life with me is an adventure,” laughs the comic fan when asked what experiences await a new lady. The enthusiastic Viennese is interested in many things, but also surprises with his love for classical literature. His bookshelf contains a wide selection of classics, from George Orwell to Rilke and Mary Shelley. “It’s an escape from reality,” Markus explains his fascination with reading. What bothers him about reality is, above all, egoism: “Everyone only thinks about themselves. Unfortunately, that has become very bad.” Markus would much rather dream of a shared future with a family:
“Friends in the immediate area also have children, so you realize that that can also be a nice thing. Preferably twins, because then you get the double pack and all the action!” When it comes to romance, the amateur basketball player still sees a little room for improvement because “I always do too much of a good thing. The entire bathtub is full of foam and the bathroom too. Or I put roses on the bed and then sit on the thorns,” jokes the warehouse worker in an interview. With the help of Nina Horowitz, Markus wants to fulfill his “longing for a woman who makes you whole again” and find a partner “to whom you can read your poems, spend time with her and just be there.”
