Free studies with a job guarantee – applications possible until July 21st
Vienna (OTS) – Health and nursing staff are more in demand than ever. Therefore, the entry opportunities have been expanded and the number of training places increased: 980 additional study places will be available at the FH Campus Vienna until 2025. As an essential partner, waff has included the bachelor’s degree in health and nursing in its “Jobs PLUS Training” program since 2021.
The first 25 participants have successfully completed their studies and have been working as health and nursing staff since June. 246 participants in the waff program are currently still in training. Interested Viennese can apply to waff for one of the 250 study places until July 21, 2024.
Attractive training offer
The “Jobs PLUS Training” program from waff and AMS Vienna is particularly attractive for people who are unemployed or about to make a career change. Thanks to the costs covered by waff and the AMS Vienna, participants receive a free six-semester course of study. Successful completion is associated with a permanent job offer at a partner company. This gives students security and a clear professional perspective. During their studies, the participants receive a total of at least 1,400 euros per month from the AMS and the Vienna training allowance from the waff. In this way, the students’ livelihood is secured during their studies.
City Councilor for Economic Affairs Peter Hanke emphasizes: “The City of Vienna closely supports the Viennese in all matters relating to training and further education. It is important to me that access to the numerous attractive training and funding remains practical and is based on the realities of people’s lives. That’s why we have this Vienna training allowance was created, with which Viennese people who complete longer training are financially secure. The FH bachelor’s degree in health and nursing as part of ‘Jobs PLUS training’ opens up an exciting and future-proof career path for those interested in the city This year, Vienna is investing around 6.1 million euros through waff.”

The waff provides advice even before you start your studies and qualifications so that the Viennese can make the best possible use of these opportunities.”
Waff provides advice and support before starting your studies
In 2024, the participating companies in the offer include the Vienna Social Fund and its supported institutions, the Vienna Health Association and the religious hospitals of the Brothers of Mercy and the Vinzenz Group. During their studies, students get to know their future employers through internships.
