Vienna (OTS) – The “Star Night at Wörthersee” is celebrating its 25th edition! In July 2000, the first “Star Night at Lake Wörthersee” took place with stars such as Udo Jürgens, Zucchero, Eros Ramazzotti, Gloria Gaynor, Paul Young, Chris de Burgh, Johnny Logan, Helene Fischer and many more. A top-class line-up of stars is expected on the “Starnacht” stage in Klagenfurt’s East Bay for the big anniversary show on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 8:15 p.m. on ORF 2 and on ORF ON: Christina Sturmer and Melissa Naschenweng will be there, among others , Rainhard Fendrich, Thorsteinn Einarsson, Die Seer, Ben Zucker, Marianne Rosenberg, Semino Rossi, Michelle, Chris Steger, Christin Stark, DJ Ötzi and Andreas Gabalier as well as the “Starnacht” debutants Bülent Ceylan, Folkshilfe and Nikotin. With a lot of humor and charm, Barbara Schöneberger and Hans Sigl once again lead through the glamorous music night on Lake Wörthersee. New to the anniversary show is the “Sigl on the go” section, in which the presenter discovers interesting things about Lake Wörthersee, a new, larger stage and exclusive insights behind the scenes at “Starnacht Backstage” live on ORF ON. The “Starnacht am Wörthersee” will also be broadcast as a Eurovision show by MDR, HR, NDR and SWR.

To get you in the mood for the anniversary show, there will be a reunion with the most beautiful moments and the biggest hits from the past 24 shows in the documentary “Starnacht am Wörthersee – The best for the 25th anniversary” on July 13th at 6 p.m. on ORF 2. After the successful premiere on Lake Neusiedl, the new streaming platform ORF ON is now also the online contact point for fans of the Wörthersee streaming services. The “Starnacht” will be offered as a live stream on ORF ON and subsequently made available as video-on-demand. This makes it just as possible to be there live in the bar garden, on the terrace or on the go, as it is to enjoy the stars’ performances afterwards.

The ORF technology at the “Starnacht am Wörthersee”
Even on the 25th anniversary of the “Starnacht am Wörthersee”, the ORF technology ensures that the show becomes an unforgettable music event for the audience at home and on mobile devices. In addition to state-of-the-art sound technology, a complex lighting and camera concept is being implemented so that the stage and stars are optimally visible at all times. Direction and transmission take place from the mobile production center and the HDTV broadcast van equipped with the latest IP technology.
Service for people with hearing and visual impairments
The ORF broadcasts the “Starnacht am Wörthersee” in a fully barrier-free manner on ORF 2. For deaf and hearing-impaired viewers, subtitles are available on ORF TELETEXT on page 777 and on ORF ON.
