New master’s degree program at IMC Krems

30 study places: the Engineering Responsible AI Systems degree program starts in autumn 2025*

Krems (OTS) At the IMC Krems, Federal Minister Martin Polaschek and FHK President and IMC Managing Director Ulrike Prommer presented the further needs-oriented FH expansion for 2024/25 today, Tuesday, July 9th.

The IMC Krems can look forward to 30 additional study places in the new master’s degree program in Engineering Responsible AI Systems* starting in the winter semester of 2025/26. The course in the Department of Natural Sciences & Technology is a perfect complement to the existing offering.

Engineering Responsible AI-Systems*

The course is aimed both at graduates of computer science and technical bachelor’s degree programs with relevant computer science components as well as at professional practitioners with a technical bachelor’s degree who want to become highly qualified experts in the field of developing responsible AI.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly playing a crucial role in almost all areas of society. The challenge of designing AI systems responsibly results in an increasing demand for highly qualified specialists at the interfaces of computer science, sustainability and ethics. The master’s degree program in Engineering Responsible AI-Systems* responds to this trend with a new range of courses that enables graduates to develop innovative technical AI systems for different industries and applications while implementing ethical, regulatory and sustainable principles.

Innovative and practical

With the new course, the Department of Science & Technology will be strengthened and expanded in an innovative manner.

The master’s degree program includes 120 ECTS points and ends with the academic degree of Master of Science. The lecture language is English in order to remain competitive internationally. The practical course of study is offered in a part-time version.
