ÖAMTC: First, short traffic jams in summer travel

Quiet arrival to “Electric Love” and “Rolling Loud Europe”

Vienna (OTS) “On Saturday afternoon we recorded the first short traffic jams in summer travel. Towards the south there were 60 minutes of waiting time at the border tunnels near Füssen and 45 minutes in front of the Karawanken Tunnel. Block clearance was declared,” reported the ÖAMTC mobility information. Drivers had to accept a time loss of up to 15 minutes in front of and in oncoming traffic on the A9, Pyhrn Autobahn between Inzersdorf and Klaus in Upper Austria.

The ADAC flight observer also detected a spirit of optimism. “In the Munich area there was four-lane convoy traffic. “We haven’t noticed any longer delays yet,” said Gerd Knuth from ADAC.

The journey to the major events “Electric Love” at the Salzburgring and “Rolling Loud Europe” in Ebreichsdorf in Lower Austria went smoothly.

“We expect a dramatic increase in traffic next weekend. According to our observations, German football fans like to watch major events such as the European Championships in their home country. The departure of the national team will give an additional boost to the already increasing holiday traffic,” concludes the ÖAMTC mobility information.
