We Deliver For You – We deliver for you

Toyota Material Handling focuses on the importance of the logistics industry

Vienna/Wiener Neudorf (OTS) Toyota Material Handling is the official partner for material handling equipment at the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games. Shortly before the start of the games – on July 26th – total solution provider Toyota is taking this as an opportunity to present a new communications campaign. The aim is to raise our society’s awareness of the important role of logistics and those employed in the industry.

With the slogan #WeDeliverForYou, Toyota wants to draw attention to the enormously important role of providing supplies to over 750 million people within Europe. The campaign aims to raise awareness of how important logistics is for all of us. From supplying the population with food, clothing and medicine or supplying factories with raw materials to the e-commerce business, which has become indispensable in today’s world.

“Every click makes a difference” – in one of the spots, Toyota illustrates how advanced digital systems trigger the logistics process: As soon as the consumer completes their online order, the goods are transported from the storage location and made ready for shipment almost immediately.

End consumers and retailers expect a functioning supply chain. And with its new campaign, Toyota Material Handling wants to convey that this is not a given, but rather a top performance by all the people, machines and systems involved in the supply chain. Toyota is initially showing three spots – a 45-second spot with the title „Hero“ and two 25-second spots titled: „Automation“ and “Warehouse Heros“. The commercials each form a metaphor for Olympic and Paralympic athletes preparing for sporting events and logisticians. Both groups must perform at their best – athletes in competitions, logisticians in everyday life in order to meet the high expectations of consumers.

Mark Peters, Marketing Director at Toyota Material Handling Europe: “Across Europe, over 5 million people work in the logistics industry – whether in warehouses, as truck drivers, parcel deliverers or operators of highly developed IT systems. We want to focus on the important role they play in our society because we recognize that our commitment to Paris 2024 offers a unique opportunity to do so.”

Mark Peters further on the topic of sustainability: “The extent of the pioneering work we are doing in the sustainability sector in the logistics industry plays an equally important role as the people. There are already the first electric delivery vehicles on our roads, but behind the scenes – i.e. in warehouses – we have been working with electric vehicles for decades. We at Toyota have also been working with hydrogen solutions for decades. We also see numerous customers who are already generating their own renewable energy at their sites. And we are also working intensively on automation to increase efficiency, accuracy and safety. All of this makes it clear that our industry is already making a significant contribution to the development of sustainable technologies and will continue to do so in the future.”

A good example of sustainable future technologies is shown by Toyota’s recently presented AITeamDelivery concept study for consolidated, automated and electrified last-mile deliveries. The concept study was developed by Toyota in one Short film presented. Here you are welcome to expand further Read the concept study. (Link to the PM on AITeamDelivery)
